Shining a Light on Our Amazing Apprentices During National Apprenticeship Week

This National Apprenticeship Week, we at Greenarc are thrilled to celebrate the incredible impact our apprentices have on our team and the wider clean energy sector. As a company dedicated to building a sustainable future, we recognise the crucial role apprentices play in fostering innovation, upholding high standards, and shaping the next generation of green energy leaders.

Meet our green dream team:

We’re proud to boast a diverse group of apprentices across various departments such as data, sales and customer service. Each brings their unique talents, perspectives, and dedication to learning, adding immense value to our daily operations.

Emily Wood, Energy Advisor, Level 4 Apprenticeship in Sales

“The apprenticeship route was perfect for me as I really wanted to get into the workplace and gain experience whilst still learning and working towards a higher qualification.

Since joining Greenarc back in 2022 I feel I have progressed hugely. I have grown personally as I have been able gain more confidence and have the ability to push myself out of my comfort zone. My professional growth is improving all the time and I now feel much more confident in the work environment.

I have gained invaluable skills which I use every day in the workplace which include the skills to communicate in a professional manner, to actively listen to both customers and colleagues and to work independently or in a team effectively.

I cannot wait to see what the future holds and to see how far I can progress in my career as well as seeing my customers journey on to clean energy as they start to join the evolution.”

James Johnson, Energy Advisor, Level 4 Apprenticeship in Sales

“I chose to do an apprenticeship to get into the world of business as soon as I could whilst learning on the job. I wanted to start earning money straight away.

I have grown my personal brand whilst being at Greenarc, excelling in my apprenticeship and becoming a known and trusted face within the business. I started in the traditional fuels side of the business before moving into the world of EV charging and leading that department.

My apprenticeship helped me apply the skills I was learning to my role, helping me become more successful but also gave me further insight into how the business world works. I’ve learnt multiple sales skills and strategies to get the most out of my sales interactions.

Based on the progression that I have made so far in a short time, it’s exciting to think and look at my future progression path and the opportunities that are available to me. We are also in a growing industry and one that is only going to rise and it’s exciting to keep up with the fast-paced ever-changing industry.”

Iqra Aziz, Energy Advisor, Level 4 Apprenticeship in Sales

“I believe that university wasn’t the option for me as I like to learn hands-on and I feel as if I learn more by actually completing a task etc.

I have spent time in numerous departments – I started in TankTopper, Sales Support Oil Depot – HR and now on the green side. I am confidently able to complete various tasks within each department.

I have developed confidence as I have learnt from dealing with different customers and have developed my problem-solving skills. I have developed hugely in confidence and this has been a result of dealing with difficult situations and putting myself out of my comfort zone. I have learnt many skills during my apprenticeship including problem-solving, adaptability and resilience.

The thing that excites me the most is the way that Greenarc is growing and the new opportunities that are opening up to me.”

Daniel Lynch, Data Analyst, Level 6 Digital and Technological Solutions Degree

“I chose the apprenticeship route to gain a degree in my field whilst implementing the content into my role, meaning I can progress quickly and gain valuable experience.

I first started on a level 3 apprenticeship nearly two years ago, since then I have passed that one with a distinction and started a degree level one. At Greenarc, I have increased my responsibility, taking on more important tasks, working with internal and external stakeholders.

The apprenticeship has not only taught me skills for my job role, but also how to increase my professionalism, through being reliable, showing strong ethics, and always striving to learn more. In addition, this has translated into my personal life, improving my motivation towards daily tasks.

I’m excited to progress and develop in a fast-growing company, with more and more opportunities arising, I get the chance to be a part of something big and maximise my skill set.”
